Default ease of tranny cooler installation?..

just got a call from my buddy and said he blew up his transmission the other night. he has a 94 z28 (a4) with a muffler and that's it. granted his tranny had around 140k on it. his mechanic told him it appeared that it blew because it got too hot and that night it blew in the middle of a race so that would make sense. he normally foot brakes it up to 1500 and launches. my car only has 102k on the tranny, but i'm not gonna lie i drive the **** out of it (often from stops). so it makes me wonder how long mine will last. i know tranny coolers aren't very expensive, but is it something i could install myself without much trouble? thanks.

Yes.

They are extremely easy to install. Worth every penny as well.

I use to have a 94 formula with an a4 and I replace the tranny 3 times after the second i installed a tranny cooler, I believed i paid about $50 and it came with all the extra tubing and everything, very easy to install. I think it took me maybe a half hour, but im pretty sure it was less.
