Default non forged pistons and nitrous?

i know that your supposed to run forged pistons with nitrous cause their stronger but i was wondering if a hyper piston will hold up to an occasional hit of a 100 shot? and how long?

People do it all the time. I would say stock pistons are okay for 150-175, just don't lean it out....

Stock are Mahle hypereutectic and guys spray them with surprising reliability. Letting it go lean or getting greedy and not opening up the ring gap are usually the causes of failure.

If rings get too hot with stock gap the gap can close and the ring bind in the bore tearing the top of the ring landing off.
