Fuel pressure?

Fuel pressure? i have a couple of questions on fuel pressure gauges. One is what would be the easiest way to to hook up an electric fuel pressure gauge from autometer, where would the sending unit go. Second is how much pressure should i have? thanks

I have a braided line comming from the fuel rail to the sending unit located next to the master cylinder. The wires go thru the firewall to the control box mounted under the dash above my right knee (in the driver seat). Gauge wires then run to the gauge on the A-pillar.
