Default Your thoughts on which driveshaft

I am looking to get a new driveshaft because I have the stock steel POS that isn't balanced very well and causes some vibration. I have narrowed it down to either the Inland Empire 3" Aluminum or the Spohn 3" Steel shaft. I know the aluminum is lighter and the steel is stronger, so which would you guys recommend? Any other ones I should look at in this same price range ($400). My mods are in my sig. Thanks.

Yes but I don't want a used driveshaft as I have not had good luck with them in the past.

Both are good driveshafts. I went chromoly for the strength, although it does increase rotating mass (over the aluminum), which robs (a little) power. Mine was closer to 300 though. Also, both have a stronger 1350 u-joint up front, and can accept a 1350 at the rear after you blow the rear end and go with an aftermarket unit that will require a 1350. IIRC, EPP warranties their aluminum unit for life, which may make it more attractive to you.

Check Denny's driveshafts as well... He's got a lifetime warranty if you can break it a replacement is free...... and mine has taken a GANG of punishment...

I ended up going with the Inland. I decided on it because it is lighter. I am not very worried about the strength as I only put about 310 to the wheels through the A4. It was also available to be shipped immediately and I would have had to wait for the Spohn or the Denny's to be made. I will let you guys know what I think about it once I get it in. Thanks for the help.

LS1 aluminum DS here...I believe its 3in...upgraded the u-joints on both ends and had it balanced before I put it in. No problems yet.

Will be making some passes on slicks this weekend for the first time, that should put it to the test

Default driveshaft

I got the SLP driveshaft, the one used for the FireHawk, seems to be pretty nice.
