how much does a ported intake really do in terms of hp/tq opposed to stock? Anyone have any numbers or experiences with these? And should it be mated appropriately with a throttle body?

If that is REAL chrome, that bitch is going to get nice and heatsoaked. I bought a chrome oilpan once, NEVER again will I buy ANYTHING chrome. That thing stayed hot for ever.

Well ported intakes really do a whole lot of nothing basically without a decent set of heads. and an aftermarket throttle body really isnt needed til you start making 375-400hp.

If you just want it for show, id say go for it, but if your looking for it to take off 2 tenths in the 1/8 or 1/4 your best bet is to look other places.

It doesn't say anything about the runners being ported, just that they are port matched to a gasket, spend your $$$$$ elsewhere!

gasket matched intakes are stupid, they should be precisely matched to the heads you have on the car. and a full second off the quarter? i dont think so... nice sales catch..not.

Sounds good, looks like I will probably not buy it then. I still want a little more out of my car for now. I am getting ready to go to school and don't have the money for cam/heads etc... After the LT's I will probably just get a tune and call it good for now.

I assumed it could still be powder coated with chrome flake, thus still being actually chrome. But I'm not sure.

Nope I have this ported intake....

Buy that one if you want bling. However, if you want a power gain you'll need to do other things first. If I were you I'd have my intake ported by the guy that ports your heads.

Who did that TB port job? That looks CNCed, if it's not. If it's not, someone can really port well, because it's so smooth it looks factory heh
