I know I have the dreaded intake oil leak. Only goes through about a quart between oil changes, so I haven't pulled the intake to redo it yet. Does this effect the oil pressure much. When the the car warms up idle pressure on the gauge shows about 20psi. Then after a while it will start to get very erratic and drop all the way down in the red while in gear. put it in nuetral and it goes up to about 7-10 psi on the gauge. anything over 2000rpms it's back up to 30-40psi. 101,000 miles on the car. Sending unit going bad? oil pump going?

any suggestions?

no oil pressure effect....1 qt is a bunch to lose....

change the sending unit and report back

my car was doing the same thing, put a qt of lucas in it and helped the idle oil pressure so im sure its not your sender
