Talk to Bryan Herter at PCM for less. His tunes are great and I'm pretty sure he'll come out and dyno tune your car if you have a local dyno and pay for time. I've had several tunes from him and have been more than happy with every one of them.

I bought tunercats and datamaster and threw out the two mail order tunes I bought.
The LT1 is no problem to ~650 RWHP! I have a few LT1's in Datsun Z's, trucks, both NA and boosted. I would STRONGLY recommend you do it yourself. Each car is different and unless they use data from your car it will only be close. Also if you tune your own car you will know when there is a problem.
The information to learn to tune is readily available.
The vehicle that convinced me to do my own was when I supercharged a vehicle and the fuel at idle made your eyes water. I knew then close was not what I wanted.
Good luck
