V8 works with V8 transmission and V6 work with V6. Different bell housing bolt pattern.

Quick answer: The trans housing won't, the guts will.

not directly....

I have a T56 in my V6 camaro. Talk to Six speed inc. It's a very special conversion. You'll have to have a matting plate and to get the T56 to mate up to your Bell housing....

the bell housing unbolt on that tranny but i doubt the internals wold hold up

I didn't think the bell housing was a separate piece on 1996 4l60e?

Didn't think it would come apart unless it was a 98 and up tranny.

He's talking about the manual, not the A4.
