Default something in the rear banging

it just started this a few days ago. scared the **** out of me the first time i happened.

when im driving along normal the car feels fine. but if i go WOT from say 20 or so or off idle, i get a loud *** bang from the rear passengers side (i think thats where its coming from, about 90% positive thats where its from) and it almost feels like wheel hop. it does it once when i get into it and once when i get off the gas hard. i got under it between all the rain today and looked around and everything looked fine to me, but then again im not a know it all when it comes to suspension. i checked the bump stops out and they look fine, nothing appears to be loose and nothing is leaking!

i dont know what the hell it is! any ideas?

its a 95 A4 T/A btw.

sounds like the front of the torque arm came out of its bushing and is slapping around but the torque arm would have broken by now. if its a THUD and you cant see anything visual its most likely your pinion bearing getting destroyed like every other one known to a 7.5" 10 bolt gm rear ive replaced 4 of em in 3 years!
