Default header install problem

So Im installing pacesetter LT's with EGR/AIR...now im wishing i would've bought the non emissions headers

I guess its the AIR (maybe EGR?) fitting at the back of the passenger side header. I got it connected to the header but it's right up against the fill tube for the transmission...so the header wont go on. Any tips on how to deal with this?

Here's a picture of what Im talking about...

Its the EGR on back of header. Just buy some block off plates for air and EGR and you will not have a problem.

I had the same problem with my pacesetters. I ended up having to pull the header back off and remove the egr bung completly.

Thanks for the replies...I ended up getting the header on with the EGR still on there...I want to keep emissions in case my state ever goes to emission testing. Wow what a PITA the headers were to install. Driver's side went in nice and easy...passenger side on the other hand was a total PITA. Im getting ready to go bolt the starter, oil fill tube and alternator back up then its GO time!

You went in from the top or bottom?

Went in from the bottom on both sides. I had to loosen the motor mount on the passenger side and lift the motor an inch or 2 to get it to slide in (probably wouldnt have had to if I got non emissions headers). The drivers side was an easy fit...just had to take the valve cover off and it went right in.

Would it be alright to run the car without O2 sensors for ~10 miles? I cant get the O2 sensors off the stock manifolds and would really like to drive my car to work tomorrow. If it's going to cause problems though, I'll find another ride til I can get new O2 sensors and make the extensions.

Edit: By the way it sounds badass just running thru the ORY...I started it up around 1:30am and Im pretty sure it woke the neighbors up.
