pushrods?
so i am getting ready to button up the rest of my motor and right now i need to get the hardened pushrods. my heads had about 0.010" cut off them and i am running the thinner impala gaskets. my question is do i need to use a pushrod length tool or would i be okay to just go with 7.150" like most people do. Also do you guys recommend a certain brand of pushrods all i know is i am for sure getting one piece hardened pushrods i was thinking trick flow any suggestions.

Whatever length pushrod you do get I would get Trick Flows. The only way to answer that question is to do it the right way and thats to measure it. Buy the Comp Cams tool I think its part #7002 or 7200 or something like that, search for length checking tools 6.8"-7.8". It costs less than $20 and is easy to use.

I 'pre-set" my tool length to 7.150 by simply placing it against a small T square I have with a ruler on it. Then to 7.100"
I did this simply because PR lengths typically come in .050 incriments.
I just taped the tool to keep it from turning when I set it at a specific length. There are no markings on the tool you can "dial" a length to so I just measured it with a t square ruler and put a flat edge against the opposite end of the check tool and confirmed that lined up on the measurement marks on the ruler.
very simple. COMP # 7702-1
