Default LIght weight flywheel questions.

Will a light weight flywheel free up any horsepower to the ground?
Does any one know the difference in weight between the two?

Is it really worth it?

with enough power a light weight, normally aluminum, flywheel can warp or break under the pressure so be carful. But it will free up some power cuz it should take less time and effort to turn.

and the difference in weight is significant.... i think a steel weights like 28 and an al.. is like 18ish... so any reduction in rotating mass is a help..no sure on dyno numbers though

I've been contemplating this for the next time I replace my clutch. I'm gonna go with a billet steel piece.
