Default Security Lights = DUMB!

So I got in my car to go to work. Went to start it.....nothing. I had radio and dash lights working. But had to wait for about five minutes for the security light to turn off. Then it started/ran fine. Got off work, same thing happened. Getting pissed. So I go to turn on my lights, the inside lights work and everything, got behind a truck, saw no headlights on. turn on high beams they work. Soooo......did both of my headlights burn up same time? Cuz this is weird and i'm still pretty pissed haha.

SAME exact thing happened to me with my lt1 and only once with my ls1. Its something to do with the resistor on the key. Try cleaning it.

why is anything burning out? All that happens is it doesnt start. You might have some sort of electrical gremlin..

Yeah, if something is shorting out you got an electrical problem somewhere...

As for the VATS, theres a way to get rid of it free, OR just have it tuned out by a tuner.

I believe a new key from GM (you provide them your VIN) will set you back $50, or you can follow the mods here.

I am having it tuned out, thankfully I ordered my tune last night and not the night before. Should I have someone check it out? I don't really know what to do, I might take it to midas or something..who knows. I'm no good with electronics
