Default Best Exaust System for an LT1

I need help finding the best Header, Y-Pipe, and Cat Back system set up for my 93 6 speed Formula LT1

I've been looking forever and can't decide so I was hoping some of you guys could give me some tips and ideas.

Im looking for a nice somewhat quiet idle and a raw throaty open throttle sound.

My mufflerless 3" exaust now, sounds badass when racing but at idle it sounds like a pickup (dont want that) so please help me out!

Go with the LPP LT's and y-pipe along with the Magnaflow cat back if you want a somewhat quiet exhaust. It sounds sweet when you open it up! LPP headers and y pipe are 550 shipped while their supply last!

LPP Headers and Y pipe and a GMMG exhaust.

I have Hooker Headers and Y with a GMMG but really don't like the Hookers. If I had the extra money I would go with LPP setup and run the same GMMG I have now.

I love my GMMG, it sounds sexy at idle and gawdawful mean at WOT. I have had the system on a bolt on car and the LE2 car I own now. I would never by anything else.

He said he wanted a quiet exhaust

Don't get me wrong...the GMMG is a awesome set up! Wish I had one on my whip!

Now that I think about it you should def look into GMMG since you are in the market for a exhaust. Check out their web site video. If its not the sound you want the Magnaflow like I said is always a good choice.

I guess I should specify a little more, I do want a nice loud throaty exaust, but *somewhat* quiet at idle. just so my neighbors dont get pissed when I fire up my beast in the morning. The open 3" I have now is just to raunchy for an F-body, would sound better on like an old 72 Cutlass or something haha.

Also, all the punks in my town with built cars wanna race me cuz it sounds like its cammed and built up when its really bone stock.

B&B triflow looks good, works good, and sounds good, My car trapped 102 at the track wich is pretty good for a cat back only car.
This is the qoute from the LPE website about B&B Triflo cat back

"Designed for race and street applications with a minimum amount of restriction to allow maximum power improvements and produce a slightly louder tone than other aftermarket systems. Built entirely of 3" diameter T-304 stainless steel, polished to a high gloss and designed to be a direct replacement for the factory exhaust systems. This item not legal for sale or use on California pollution controlled motor vehicles."

I also would go with the LPP headers and ORY

My car at idle stock with cat back, Sorry vid is with my crappy camera and its really dark. Not the best sound quality but it sounds better in person

Also look into the hooker catback. It sounds good and flows great. I would look into magnaflow or hooker if you dont want to dump 900 bucks into a catback.

I second or third or fourth(whatever person we are on now) the GMMG + LPP SS LTs and ORY. THe only problem is rasp...some say the lt1 does not have rasp with that kinda setup because it is an iron block, but i want a crisp refined sound without popping on decel and such...I may add a cat when I get mine. What do you guys think? would a bullet muffler in the i pipe do the job? sorry, dont mean to thread hijack...just want to hear opinions too.
