Default Shifter getting stuck, clutch getting stuck

Hey guys, something weird has happened to me twice today... Now I don't know if it's the cars fault, or I just haven't given myself enough time to recover from the night before... But the shifter in my 2000 Camaro Z28 gets locked to the left side, and the clutch pedal gets stuck in followed by the car stalling out despite my foot holding the clutch in. It only does it when I downshift into first going into driveways around 5mph. I watched my hand put it into first and and it still did it. If it is a problem, how much time do you think it will be before it completely dies?

Could it be the clutch itself falling apart, or master/slave cylinder?

-62,000 miles on the car

clutch, hydraulics, etc. all stock?

Sounds like air in the hydraulics or the slave is starting to fail..

100% stock.

I bought it a little while ago, do you think when they sold it to me they either put too much or too little fluid in it?

Possibly. Check level AND color of fluid. If it only does it it one gear though, I would be more concerned with something else. BUT, teh hydraulics are a known source of problem on our FBodies, and the cheapest/easiest solution at this point, and hence, where I would start.

So, check Level AND color of fluid

Getting more and more opinions about it, being told it's most likely the hydraulic pump/master/slave cyl.'s. I can't even move it out of position to jack it up to check the levels
