Default tr6060 installed in my 98 Camaro!

The TR6060 is now in. (Dave @ D&D performance a sponsor here was very helpful). I couldn't trust my stock T-56 (although it gave me no issues period, with 700 hp, and 780 ft-lbs at the wheels I wasn't confident on its survival).

This Required:

1) modifying the consol, as the shifter was about 3" farther forward
2) Different shifter lever, (used one from a chevy truck 4 wheel drive lever, reversed, and bent). Haven't fabricated an adapter to use my stock shift **** yet. My hurst shifter hit the radio couldn't make it fit.
3) Required shortening my driveshaft, from 40 3/4" to 37 5/8" yoke caps to yoke caps. The TR6060 is 3 inches longer too!
4) Required a plug for the mechanical speedo (shipped with just a rubber dust plug)
5) Required an ford style electronic speedo connector (found one from a tempo to match up).

QTP bellhousing also used, minor mod required to clear non stock exhaust (APS driver side turbo).
It was tight as now the driveshaft loop is right around the 1350 U joint.

Anyone else with any experience on this tranny?

Yeah it sucks that Tremec didn't offer the unit as a direct replacement to the T56. IMO, that will be the deterent to people buying them over a built T56.
