Default Any Advice? LS7 with Fidanza - Tomorrow

Hey guys...any advice or tips?

I'm pulling the tranny and the old stocker tomorrow.

I have an LS7 with a Fidanza going in.....

I'm replacing the rear main seal and the pilot bearing too.

I've pulled the tranny and clutch before but just wondering. I had horror story the first time around, tried it last year LS7 with stock flywheel. WOuldnt engage for some reason, even with new hydraulics and shim. In the end fred beans replaced it under warranty and so I'm at it again, but this time with a Fidanza.

Having to do it in the garage with no power tools aside from a electric impact.

Thanks in advanced!

Just so you know the ls7 will only work with the ls2 flywheel.

I have a Fidanza LS7 flywheel...thanks for heads up. And the first time around it was the LS2/LS7 flywheel that comes with the kit.

Done!

gosh, now I remember how much I hate stabbing the tranny.

I think thats the most painful part of the whole process.

I had a little mishap with the bell housing, but all looks well for now.....there is a crack on the bolt thats next to the bleeder.

I'll have to see if some one can mig'it for me later on, and just look for a replacement for later on.

I put a shim behind the slave, just in case and I already had it anyway, so no biggie.

Other than that the install was straight forward.

We bled the slave and it only took 3 tries, it engages really good.

The clutch engages nice, it's not low like I've heard, I suspect the shim helps.

I been breaking it and the flywheel helped me save a few pounds.

Overall very happy with it, its nice not slipping, now I just pull!
