Default Just installed TICK master cyl, almost have to stand on pedal

First I have to say, it seems like a very high quality piece. Nice touch with the grease fitting, protective heat insulation around the slave line, etc. The install was easy, once you figure out to slip it past the brake booster with the rod side down.

Bench bled 3 times, then mityvac'd it 3 times, very little bubbles left in system. Clutch pedal only goes down half way. Have to almost literally stand on it to get it past half way. Once you do, it goes into gear fine and pedal then comes back up by itself (did not remove spring on pedal) but I shouldn't have to practically stand on the pedal to get it to go past half way, should I? I have a SPEC 3+ which is already broken in from earlier this year...

Thanks,
Troy

I left spring on pedal even though instructions said to remove it. I like it with the spring, but that isn't affecting it. My pedal is firm to press in with Textralia clutch but not that hard. Maybe remove line that goes into slave and press in fitting so you can gravity bleed it. Then hit it with the mity vac. Just a thought, worked for me every time.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Well even though I bled everything pretty good, it doesn't hurt to do it again....I just re-bled everything from scratch and the pedal is pretty firm (had the cartek master cylinder beforehand) but its much better now.

Took it out for some abuse and it seemed to do very good. A bit notchy going into first but shifted impressively everywhere else. Hopefully it'll fix my problem at the track with the 2-3 powershift. Seems very promising.

Make sure you play with the pedal adjustment.

Put car in 1st gear on flat ground and rev close to red-line. If car moves at all then adjust master cylinder until it stays still. Mine is like butter, but it has to be adjusted properly.
