Will go from 4th-5th fine, but WONT go from 6th-5th? wth

Will go from 4th-5th fine, but WONT go from 6th-5th? wth Hey guys,
Since I've bought my car, I've had this small issue with the trans.
When I shift up from 4th to 5th it goes in fine,
BUT If I try to downshift from 6th to 5th it will not let me put it in 5th. no matter what.
what do you think?

Typically the synchro, but very often I've seen folks not be able to get use to the Rev-lockout on the T56 and 6->5 downshifts never seem to happen because they are trying to force it into reverse, not realizing it..
If you can get a 6->5 downshift by double-clutching, then I'd blame the synchro, if you can't, then I'd say to try to concentrate on changing your hand-shifter angle a bit and not holding the side of the shifter ****..
