Unhappy 1-2-3-4-5 All good like butter. . . then 6 all bad! Plz Help....

like i said every gear i can baNG or slow shift or whatever but then when it comes to 6th its like it has to be half way forceful and even if i try and hit the same spot every time like 3/5 times itll feel like it goes in but when i let off the clutch theres nothing it pops back out into N. But when it hits the right "spot"(for lack of a better term), it goes in easy and wont pop outta gear under throttle, grind, whine, ect . . . Could this be a shifter issue or has anyone else had the same troubles? Car has "built" trans and an aftermarket short throw but fella didnt know what shifter.. . . . . any help/thoughts are appreciated! thanx guys > . . .

Synchro is out and/or the Engagement Teeth on the Slider and the Gear are worn down.

The fork could be bent and limiting the travel ino gera. Also , worn fork pads can cause this. It is not really common the mis a shift and spank 6th so I don't know about the worn clutch tooth idea, but it is possible.
