Default How the hell do you get the slave cylinder off the line?? Need help ASAP

Im trying to get my car back together and im having problems disconnecting the old slave from the line to put my new one on. All the quick disconnect tools I tried havent worked, I tried the screwdriver method and split the living **** out of my thumb, now what do I do? Where exactly do I have to press down to pop it off the line? I heard use 2 screwdrivers and press down and it should pop off, but it seems too tight to get 2 screwdrivers in. Please help I am in the process of trying to do this as I type this.

if you are using the 2 screwdriver method, push VERY carefully around the edge. You basically work it slowly around the plastic. What I've noticed happen is that as you try to push both at the same time, differences in leverage will cause one part of the ring to push in while the other kinda pushes out which won't release it. What I do is I use 1 screwdriver to anchor and push in slowly working around the ring with the other, the anchor screwdriver will always brace opposite of the force applied.

Is the plastic ring still in the disconnect. If not you can try what I did in this thread.

or this if you have the plastic ring.

I've seen this question asked hundreds of times. Should be a sticky.

Use a 17 or 18 mm open face wrench.
