Spec or ACT
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with either of the clutches ACT Race Clutch Kit 6 Puck Sprung Hub or Spec stage 3 for 01 formula runnin bout 425 at wheels

ACT isnt very popular among the f-body crowd and Spec is hit or miss with many f-body guys. Look into Monster Clutches...many people are running monster clutches without problems

I have a spec stage 3 in my car, 500WHP, and I haven't had any problems, granted, my hydraulics just went out, but thats a separate issue. I daily drive it, but haven't launched it or really laid into too hard yet... with a built motor and a 12 bolt, I know my weak links are in between... We shall see.

I am DD'ing a level 6 Monster with absolutly no chatter. This thing drives like stock, even with a lightweight flywheel. I have let several friends drive it, and most of them have killed the car once, then get used to it and have no problem driving it. A level 3 or 4 would work great for you. I have also heard that Spec is hit and miss when it comes to having problems. Monster has superb customer service to go along with their kick *** clutches.
