Default HELP! Grinding noise...

When I drive my Z28 and leave the clutch pushed in but still have the shifter in gear (seems to be only 2nd and 3rd), I heard a whirring or grinding noise.

It shifts into gear and drives just fine when it's in gear but only when I'm moving and have the clutch pushed in with the shifter in gear do I hear the noise.

Any ideas??? Any help would be appreciated. Gonna put it up on ramps and check for anything loose.

had a problem like that in my slowbra.. it would go into gear with ease no problems but once the gear was engaged, it would grind (same symptoms in both 3rd and 4th) but it wasnt a loud grind as if it had trouble engaging it was a faint grind like if i had spun a bearing or something .. a couple weeks later i completly lost 3rd and 4th goin down the freeway ..
