after pulling my motor, and getting it rebuild and everything i pulled the slave cylinder off the tranny, and now that i'm putting the car back together i cannot get the slave and the rod onto the tranny bolts in order to get it bolted down..

how do i do this?

Is the pushrod of the slave what is sticking out and keeping the slave assy. from fitting onto the bolts? Undo the rod of the master from the pedal and leave it free, then try compressing the slave.
