Default Transmission Rebuild

Well my transmission is basically on its last legs second gear is no more and just free revs, and now 4th and 5th gear grind a little when you shift into them so its time for a rebuild
So far I'm looking on getting this rebuild kit unless anyone has better sources or ideas to go with, I'm pretty sure this should fix all my problems unless my 2nd gear is totally stripped which im hoping its not lol.

Also what should I choose as for clutches the car is a 1998 z28 and its my daily that so far has future plans for bolt on if not also going h/c

Thanks for the input

Your second gear is toast. The engagement teeth are likely stripped. The replacement is a stronger unit luckily (Viper style with longer engagement teeth) which we sell for $124.99.

If you're needing a specialist to handle the rebuild for you, check out our services here: http://www.tick-performance.com/tick...ackages/fbody/

..or if you're just wanting the parts kit, check out our offerings here: http://www.tick-performance.com/tick...body/t56parts/

Best of luck!

I would recomend Tick performance, jus did their stage 2 rebuild. I bought the parts from them, you for sure will need a second gear mine wasn't as bad as the way u describe but showed alot of wear so i replaced it, also did 3rd and reverse. (hydraulic problems). Great customer service if they goofed up or u goofed up would for sure recommend on waiting to buy the parts after is torn apart unless u don't mind paying more for shipping...
