Default LT1 T56 flywheel question

Just pulled my engine the other day and this is what my clutch looks like after sitting for 10+ years:

1. Do you think I could get away with resurfacing the flywheel and then buying a stock or aftermarket pressure plate and disk?
2. What's the stock clutch torque rating? Doing an LE2 heads/cam upgrade

I appreciate any advise you can give me. Thanx

Rob

I would def resurface the flywheel. Its been my understanding that 95% of the pp you buy are pretty much the same and the difference is in the disc so in theory you can buy a stock replacement kit from autozone (159) and then buy a nice disc (mcleod) so for around 300 you should have a clutch to hold the power. Also check out this thread seems like a good deal https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...-its-here.html

Other than the slight rust, the disk doesn't look too bad. I'll see what happens with the flywheel first. If it's able to be resurfaced then I might go with just a new stock pressure plate. We'll see.

Machine shop should be able to resurface the flywheel no problem. I had one resurfaced that looked worse than that.

The only problem I see with buying the parts store PP is that most of them are made in China now.

A new PP will be the second design so while it's apart you may as well go new on the clutch parts.

Yes, resurface the flywheel (or check pricing on Autozone; without core, they were < $100 last I looked)

Got the flywheel resurfaced. One less thing I have to worry about:
