Default Skip Shift Question???

I posted this in the newbie tech......over 70 reads and no answer,.....was probably in the wrong section. I'll give it a try here.

I bought a skip shift eliminator plur off Ebay.......It plugs into the wiring harness fine but not into my transmission.
Everything seem to be working ok, is it alright to just leave the transmission solinoid blank?

My guess is no problem because it likely just uses a resistor to fool the PCM into thinking there is a solenoid attched to it.

Try it. Can't do any damage. But make sure you seal the unplugged connectors off.

yes it is fine, it fools the pcm to think its hooked up and the light still comes on, but its not actually hooked up, so you can row thru the gears as YOU want, as it should be for a manual transmission. now my ebay kit came with a dummy plug to go into the transmission to protect the plug and connections for the solenoid. works like a champ and worth the 20 bucks.
