flywheel resurfacing

Default flywheel resurfacing

my pressure plate went bad so i need to replace it figured i would get a new disc also the clutch and flywheel only have about 10k on them is it mandatory to resurface it what will happen if i dont. only thing is because im doing this at my dads shop on a lift on the weekend but have no access to resurface the flywheel because its the weekend my only option would be buying a new flywheel

Yes, resurface it or you'll have problems. Don't even think of skipping this step.

what if i keep that clutch thats in the car and just replace the pressure plate will i have any problems

You will have issues if you just slap a new clutch and PP on a Flywheel that has been used for 10k on a different surface.

You are a set of bell housing bolts and flywheel bolts from taking it off and getting it machined. Have a shop check the FW, IF it is not with in spec, then order a new one.

If the PP went bad, often the clutch would not have worn correct and PP surface certainly would not have been in great shape.

I mean anyone can comment but I wager, you do what I think your going to do and your going to have nothing but issues.
