Default getting the transmission flush with belhousing.

hey everyone a few weeks ago i had to remove my tranny in my 99 m6. when reinstalling it, me and a friend had the hardest time getting the transmission to get flush with the belhousing. It would get to about a inch then the spring on the slave i believe would be keeping it from going any further. Well i am having to remove the tranny again, this time when i reinstall it if i get someone to press the clutch will it realive that pressure? thank you

If you get someone to press the clutch, then that will push the slave out and make it harder to install the trans.
