I want to swap 1st and 2nd gear between my two t56s. Is there going to be a compatibility issue between my fbody t56 and the ctsv t56 with these gears? thanks for any leads

You can't split gears between sets because of the single cluster countershaft. Also, the double/single cone synchros&gears of the Fbody are not compatible with the triple/double cones in the late model GM T56s. If you want, you can swap over the CTSv to a MM6 gearset from a C5 corvette, but all the ratios will be MM6. You'll also have to lose the dual-mass flywheel if you haven't already.

Also the main shafts are different from the M6 and the M12 for the CTS-V to a F-Body trans.
