Q regarding shim / throw out bearing measuring
Hi!
I have a RX7 with a liberty performance t56, monster cluch(stage 5), new slave+ bearing and a willwood 1" master.
My problem is that i had cluch engagement problemes in 2010. I opened it this winter and found out that my slave was not working correctly. I also got aware of that it might be smart to measure the slave movement and shimming of the slave.
Since i have the 1" willwood master it might be possible to over "engage"?
I managed to install the engine and tranny without checking these things first this weekend.
My "MAIN" question is. What should i do to be safe? Any good tip on how to measure everything that has to be measured?
I want to leave the engine in the car if possible (alot of work to take it in/out)

There are very lengthy and informative posts here concerning proper measurement. These measurements must be taken before the trans. is mated with the engine with the clutch installed. In some cases to limit the throw of the slave you can use a clutch pedal stop or limit movement with an adjustable master cyl rod.
