Default T56 Randomly Grinding

So my transmission is driving me insane, it works just fine most of the time, no problems whatsoever.
Then randomly, shifting into 3rd, it grinds like a sonofabitch. (And it always seems to be when I'm least expecting it, just cruising around 30-50 kph)

Car has 84,000kms. Is this a case of worn sychros or something?

It's a real jolt when I'm trying to have a quiet drive home from work, and it sounds like i'm not even on the clutch.

That's what I kinda thought, but if its the sychro worn out then why does it only grind very rarely? and only at low(ish) speed? Wouldn't it be the same all the time?

Bumping because I still don't really understand what is happening inside my transmission.

It only *sometimes* grinds on LOW speed shifts into 3rd, if I'm going fast it shifts fine.

If the sychros are worn, wouldn't it grind every time I try to shift into 3rd?

Not necessarily..but the grinding you describe I would lean toward the Synchro.

Mine did the same thing, then i replaced my LS7 clutch with a Monster Lvl 3 with the Tick Master and have not had another issue. I am leaning towards the Tick Master resolving my issue.
