Question Clutch on 93 Camaro issue..

When I bought my Camaro the guy I bought it from told me that the previous owner had a new clutch installed but he wasn't sure. With that being said, I'm not sure whether or not my car has a new clutch in it.
Now the issue:
Under hard acceleration my clutch seems to slip for a second around 4500 rpm before I shift. When I release the clutch pedal when shifting it seems to engage far away from the floor, as in I release it almost all the way before it engages. This slipping thing only seems to happen sometimes.
Any help would be appreciated I'm hoping its not serious I have no money for a new clutch lol.

The clutch disc could be worn out. Have you smelled any brake odor? Usually when the disc is slipping you'll smell it.

I don't smell anything at all when I'm driving with the windows either up or down.

ALSO when I let the clutch out in neutral there is a slight knocking sound and it goes away when the clutch is depressed.

More than likely your just gonna have to pull it apart and check everything out. I have the knocking sound to in neutral. I have heard its normal with the LT1 T56.
