Need help on T56 install
So I'm new to manual transmissions and need some help. The main issue I have is the plugs on the T56. I have a TH400 in my S10 that only had one plug in it. So I'm a little confused with the T56 having 4 plugs if I counted right at least. Also my block is a 5.3L but I'm assuming the Ls1 clutch will still work on it or am I wrong with that statement? Any insight on either of these things would be great.

the t56 will work with nothing plugged into it if you really wanted...
You have the CAGS solenoid, the speed sensor, reverse lockout and...? is there another one? lol either way you dont want the CAGS, the reverse lockout can be over powered (without much effort actually) and the speed sensor is obvious.

Thanks for the help. Anyone know about the clutch and flywheel? I've read a few things saying I'm gonna need a 6.0L flywheel because its thicker? Not sure if this is the case but wanting to make sure.

The other plug is the reverse light switch. With the length of the shifter you are going to need with this trans in an S10 you shouldn't have any issue over coming the reverse lockout solenoid. You can also hook that solenoid up to the brake pedal switch. That way you don't have to put against it at all when you have the brake down.
As far as flywheel goes, a stock LS1/LS6 flywheel will work just fine for you. Only the early 99-00 6.0s used the oddball crank.
