Default Spec Stage 1?

Just curious to see if anyone is using the Stage 1 from Spec. I'm due for an upgrade, and my steel flywheel (Spec) only has 0.006-0.007" of wear to it. I'm thinking about just turning it at work, and calling it good. Spec said I could take up to 0.015" off of it.

I've got 400rwhp, with a 9" and Nitto 555R's in the back. I'd like to know I could take it to the track and not have to worry, which is why I've sort of ruled out the LS7, seems it doesn't seem to hold up at the track that well?

Of course, Monster is another option, but they only sell them as packages with the flywheel, which I understand and respect.

Just trying to balance my budget but still get a confident clutch.

For what it's worth, the Spec Stage 1 is rated to 599ft/lbs of torque

I assume that the primary use of the car is street driving and that you occasionally go to the track? Is that correct? If so, and if you don't aggressively slip the clutch when you are leaving then a Stage 1 should be fine for your power level. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks,
