Default Clutch probelm looking for input.

I recently just finished installing a new clutch in my car and everything was working fine for about 300 miles besides the normal break in chatter. Last night i was driving home and noticed the clutch pedal getting very heavy and was hard to get shift gears. After about a mile i couldn't get it out of 4th gear and when i tried to push the clutch in it just grinded and wouldn't budge. Car is now parked and can't start it or put into gear. Any ideas on what to look for before i start taking it apart again? I was leaning towards slave or master cylinder went out on me.

What brand of new clutch did you put in ?

Did you replace the the master and/or slave cylinder ?

Have you since checked your hydraulic fluid level ?

I just did a stock replacement from autozone. Replaced the slave about 2000 miles ago and never replaced the master since i owned the car. I'll have to go check the fluid level i haven't had time to look it over yet today.

Maybe a leak developed and/or there is air in the system ?
Perhaps the original master is not doing it's job anymore ?

Sounds goods.

You might only need to replace the master.
If it works it will save you a bit of work.
