Default changing trans fluid

Changing my transmission fluid seems like its gonna be a pain in the ***. Does any one have some suggestions on ways to make it easier?

buy one of those $5 suction pumps at advance auto. made my life a lot easier, no need to even remove the shifter.

if we are talking about a T56...they have a drain & fill plug.

You can but a pump for a few $ to fill from 1 qt fluid bottle to make it simpler

Suppose a guy just put the transmission back in the car, but hasn't put the shifter back in. Can the guy full the transmission through the shifter, thereby avoiding buying said $5 pump and needing to get under car?

If the shifter is off you can fill the transmission through there.
