Default Need Help: Don't Know If Its My Shifter or Transmission?

So from just this past week its been getting really hard to get into gear after making multiple WOT digs or rolls. Couple nights ago I was running a friend & got into 2nd fine but it would not go into 3rd gear. Just kept making the grinding noise. But when we went from a 2nd gear pull it went into 3rd but wouldn't go into 4th? Then after we slowed down I could just feel that it was VERY sticky to change gears. For some instances I couldn't even down shift because it was so sticky. After I let it cool down it gets somewhat better but still pretty hard to change gears... I know my shifter is already kind of fucked up because I can rotate the shifter stick & just spin it in circles. Which becomes a hassle. Don't know if that that's the problem there? Or if its that & something else? I have a stock clutch, stock Hurst shifter, tranny, etc. I hope its just my shifter. Any thoughts? Thanks..

i dont think its your shifter, your stock clutch is more likely in need of a upgrade, the stock clutch is junk, my buddy went threw 3 of them before he finally took my advice and went with a better clutch, imo its a clutch ,master issue, your issues sound like what i was having last year, and in my case it was a clutch, what do you mean by you can spin the shifter stick lol ?

Get another stick for your shifter. Easy fix.

Your clutch isn't releasing. Start by bleeding the hydraulics.

It may be neither the shifter, nor the transmission itself.
