Rebuild or Replace
The T56 in my GTO is in need of some loving. The synchro is trashed in 2nd, it pops out and is impossible to get into. 4th gear lets the lever move back but doesnt ever engage.
Now the question is do I have it rebuilt for 2200 with a performance rebuild, or do I spend 1000 or so and pick up a used T56.
Do the rebuilt ones make that much difference on a stock to 400rwhp car?
