Default mainshaft bearing & race

Replacing the mainshaft small tapered bearing #22 in the service manual, it's the one that rides on the inside of the input shaft, and im having a hell of a time getting the outer race out off the input shaft. I almost want to just leave it and replace the bearing only since the outer race looks fine and the only reason im even replacing the bearing is because i couldnt figure out a way to get it off without ruining it. Anyone know of a good way to get that sucker out, or should i let it be and just replace the bearing?

Any input is appreciated

You can just replace the bearing and let it ride. I do it all the time on the Corvette and GTO units and have never had one single issue!
