Question Viper/Mustang T56 behind an LS1?

Can it be done? I've seen some Viper T56 tranny listed lately. I assume I would have to change teh bell housing as when using an LT1's six speed:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-transmission/154606-lt1-t56-behind-ls1.html

so does anyone know if its also bell housing, input (and possibly rear?) shaft and front plate?

Thanks,

Why would you want the 03-04 COBRA T-56?

LOL the 03-04 Cobras upgrade *their* mainshafts to the F-body mainshaft!

http://www.ddperformance.com/t56_partsupgrades.htm

D&D sells a Viper T56 that bolts in to the F-body.

http://www.ddperformance.com/GM%20T56.htm

$2300.

Also, the input on the Ford box is weaker due to lower # of splines.

At least Ford went with a clutch release setup that works.

and a 6th gear that equals most 5 speeds' 5th gear, so they still get hit with the gas guzzler tax,lol

but the clutch setup, agreed, other than replacing throw out bearings often, if its anything like the older stangs setup

Thanks guys. I have been seeing several Viper trannies on ebay lateley which went for $500~$900. I didn't know of the weaker input shaft. Thanks for the tips & links.
