Default will this work?

can i put a t56 trans from an lt1 into a ls1 car? or can it be made to work? just curious have a t56 thats in great shape out of my friends 95 ta and looking for t56 myself

I know the input shaft is a different length between the LT & the LS units....

You'd need the LS1 bellhousing, input shaft, and front faceplate. The trans will have to be disassembled to swap faceplate and input shaft. Then you'll need LS1 hydraulics and clutch.
