Quick, probably "stupid easy" question...
Hey guys, I'm getting ready to drop my T-56 in a few minutes so that I can swap bellhousings. Since I don't want the fluid to spill out the rear all over the garage floor, I'm planning on draining it via the drain plug at the rear on the pass. side of the trans. The question that I have is, 'Do I need to use anything on that drain plug to seal it when I reinstall it?' Anything like teflon tape, some kind of thread sealer, or...??
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.

Cool, thank you sir! I started taking it out, but then it looked like it had some kind of white stuff on it, so I thought it might be better to ask... Appreciate it.

it does have thread sealer from TREMAC....but as noted no need to apply any.
also you can get a $2 "plug" for the tranny rear. I picked one up at a swap meet.some people also use a rubber shop glove/rubber band. draining is also an option
