Default clutch review

I have a 2000 ws6 with 400lb at the wheels and I need a new clutch. I'm stuck between a spec stage 3 and an act 6 puck. They both will hold my torque very well but I need some feedback on what y'all think is best. I've read the spec is great but doesn't have a very long lifespan. The car is not my dd I drive it maybe 3 days a week. But I want a clutch that'd gonna last longer than 5000 miles. They both cost the same I just can't figere out which one to get. I do know I'm getting a light weight aluminum flywheel.

I installed a ACT 6 puck with their flywheel about a month ago. It has some extra pedal effort which doesn't bother me and it holds my power well. 550/535 at the wheel. Switched from a Tex OZ700 z grip. I love the ACT. It is very on or off in 1st gear, but I just punch and dump then let the fun begin.

I have a spec stage III in my fbody and a monster stage II in my C5Z, no experience with ACT, though I have heard good things. I like the spec and the monster, no issues, though the monster is a little grabbier, some slight chatter from a dead stop on occasion. The monster has also taken tons of abuse over the last 35K miles and still holds like a champ. The spec is very smooth on engagement, no drama and holds the power, have 10-15k on it.

I would recommend you also replace the slave cylinder and consider a Tick MC at the same time.

Well that sounds good I keep hearing about people who have had bad luck with them. Im gonna replace the master and the place but I'm not spending 300 on a master cylinder.

LSX, the Stage 3 is a great option, though it will be a bit more grabby than a full faced disc. Just keep this in mind. Additionally, don't forget that many times "bad luck" with any clutch is related to factors other than the clutch and should be taken with a grain of salt. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to assist you. Thanks,

I understand the sentiment, but it is worth it, especially considering the cost of clutch replacement/and or tranny rebuild.
