Default Lenco gearbox downshifting possible?

Hey guys how's it going, we are looking at trying a Lenco gearbox in our car for circuit racing which includes downshifting, now Lenco the company says it'll work it will down shift on the go and reengage as we apply power again, I have my doubts but we are going down that path, anyone from experience know if it works properly or will it be a disaster aha

Cheers guys,
Glenn

Think of a Lenco as nothing but an automatic transmission without a converter and all the shift circuitry. Planetary boxes are either engaged or not, and if there's no overrun sprag, there will be no free-wheeling.
