Default Any differences between F body T56 and CTS-V T56?

I ask because I just pulled the T56 out of my '05 CTS-V parts car and the shifter setup is totally different from the one on my LT1 T56 that's in my '96 Impala SS. I know the clutch setup is different as well, but are there any other differences? Will this T56 from my CTS-V work in an F-body with a different shifter assembly?

I just searched "CTS-V T56" on this forum and read 3 threads that go over:
detailed differences
driveline changes needed
pilot differences
and I had a post in there on when I last priced a changeover to GTO style tailhousing
