Default What does this piece do?

This wire coil piece broke off as I was pulling my car into a parking spot. Took a picture of it as best I could being was dark outside. It's located at the top of the clutch pedal under the dash. I'll post better pics when it gets light outside.

Its just a return spring for the clutch pedal, dont think the lt1 cars have them, (least my old one didnt). My current 2000 trans am had that spring fall out and i havent seen any issues with it being out, without it your just relying on the clutch hydrylics to return the pedal.

Yup, same thing happened to me years ago after I left the dyno. Never installed a new one and never had an issue.

If I remember correctly Tick suggests removing it with their adjustable MC.

I removed mine so i could bleed my clutch by myself. As long as you have good hydraulics, it is not needed.
