Default Clutch Suggestions, Sponsors chime in?

Im going to be rebuilding my tranny and need to buy a clutch before I rip it out of the car. I wanted to get a few suggestions before I pull the trigger on anything just yet. So far the clutch I want is a Mantic ER2 since my buddy with a c5z had one installed and he let me drive it. It drives like stock and I couldnt really tell the difference so i'm highly interested in that but its like $800.

-Are there any clutches out there that offer close to stock driveability/clutch feel
-If these clutches exist, will they be less than $800?
-I would want the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, etc.. to be included

Any ideas would help, Thanks

Monster I'm told have good driveability as well as TDP which is whats in my car. a good quality clutch with flywheel, pp etc that's about the price range your looking at. I think I paid just under $700 but TDP was having a sale.

I know you can get a better deal on a clutch if you have said company rebuild the trans as well. That is if your willing to send out the trans.

+1 for monster...I have their level 2 single disc & 18LB flywheel in my bolt-on SS, and I love it...drives better than stock

Default Diamond (TDP) Clutch

I just bought a Diamond stage 2 clutch. Once it's in the car, I'll post a review.

How much power do you plan to make? Keep in mind our clutches come complete with a billet flywheel and a one year warranty against manufacturing defects, don't hesitate if you have any questions. Chris, 817-750-2000

There are many good clutch units available. I have been around many and would suggest an act unit. They have very few issues and can be rebuilt. They have good pricing if you look around.

I have made my decision. Im going with the mantic single disc because of the traffic that surrounds my area. Without the money to afford a duel clutch at the moment ill hold off and probably buy a monster when the car is more serious. Thanks for all your replies

A ceramic isn't what I'd recommend for daily driving in traffic and overkill for your power level, regardless our Level 3 is cheaper at $730 for the basic package and holds 700rwhp.

Well my friend has a mantic er2 in his c5z06 and I couldnt even tell the difference between stock. If my car had more power or saw less daily driver duties I would go with the lvl 3 monster. Its tough to compete with the price/power it holds. But traffic in my area is seriously a B*tch

In your case I would have recommended the Level 2 with Kevlar frictions and it's even cheaper than the 3
