gto has the steeper mn12 gear set but gets the upgraded triple con synchros on 1-2 and doubles on 3-6. It uses a different bellhousing for the gto starter and shifter offset lever. To run it in an fbody you need the offset lever and cup which is 35-40 bucks then either run a gto starter on the bellhousing or use an fbody bellhousing and starter

I bought a Hurst aftermarket F body shifter that works in the GTO T56 but you need the lever/cup for an F body in place of the GTO lever/cup in your trans.
