Default Slip yoke leaking???

I have a 98 SS 6-speed Camaro, and I noticed it was leaking transmission fluid the other day. The funny part is, it appears to be coming from the center of the end of the slip yoke. Of course my first thought was that it may be the rear seal of the transmission, but it is dry as a bone around there. The original slip yoke is kind of bulky looking, with what seems to be a counterweight or balancer in the middle of it. Can I just replace it with a regular solid slip yoke, or is there a simple trick to stopping the leak on the oem one? Does anyone know of an off the shelf slip yoke that I can simply replace/upgrade it with? Upgrading the whole drive shaft is more than I want to spend right now.

Thanks for any advice.
